Week 8 - April 22 - 28

This week got off to a sad start for our family.  We found out that my Mom passed away early Sunday morning.  It changed everything that was planned for the week as my hubby and I had to travel back to my home town.  There were still some final arrangements to be made.  We also had a family gathering to say final goodbyes to our Mom.

I was able to get out and work on some macro photography on Monday.  It was therapeutic in a way, walking on my favourite path, with camera in hand. I was able to find lots of subject matter.  With spring on the way, it's not hard to find some interesting buds.  I settled on the above photo mainly because I love the purple background and also for new beginnings of spring.  The background is real, not colourized or edited.  I can't remember what was there, but I'll take it!  Purple is one of my fav colours so I thought it was appropriate to dedicate to my Mom.
